Rules for your safety

• Hair should be pulled away from face

and off the neck for all classes.

• No hair clips, barrettes, hairbows, or anything other than a basic hair tie or scrunchie should be worn in hair.

• No shoes are used. All participants should have clean bare feet.

• Fingernails & toenails should be smooth and trimmed short so that they do not snag or tear the aerial equipment.

• No baggy/loose attire. These items can get tangled in the fabric when performing wraps & combinations resulting in the performer being stuck.

• No jewelry as it can tear the aerial equipment.

• No rhinestones, sequins, zippers, buttons, glitter, or embellishments of any kind on any clothing.

• Aerial silks/hammocks can/will cause skin burns if students are not wearing outfits that cover exposed skin.

• Personal hygiene is extremely important in these classes. Apparatuses are shared. Feet & Armpits can leave smells/residue/dirt on the equipment that is unpleasant for the following class. Please be mindful of these things.

• Keep a pack of baby wipes, nail clippers and a nail file in your dance bag. These are great when you need to clean dirt off your feet or fix a nail.

 

These rules are to keep students safe during class & to keep our equipment in safe working condition. Students who are not dressed appropriately or have long or jagged nails cannot participate in class until the issue is corrected.
